Since kicking off in February, the Battle Studies World Tour has repeatedly ranked among the Top Five on Billboard Magazine's weekly Hot Tour list. Mayer's current single, "Heartbreak Warfare" is his seventh Top Five radio hit, with the song reaching over 385 million people in the past three months. He has also earned a steady stream of performance accolades:

Mr. Mayer is an astonishing blues guitarist, both in his technical gifts and in his ability to make those gifts appear accessible. - New York Times

"It was an impressive display of his sharp guitar playing, appealing sing-alongs and personable wit, and the audience responded generously." - RollingStone.com

"...for two hours, he thrilled fans with high-energy vocals, superb and innovative guitar playing, and light-hearted banter." - The Oklahoman

"He certainly has the scary-good guitar chops to try anything, whether it's the smooth and effortless, funky vibe of 'Vultures' or the edgy rock build-up of 'Assassin' or the smoky blues-bar interlude on his cover of 'Ain't No Sunshine.'" - Grand Rapids Press

"Mayer was in good spirits, seemingly self-possessed by the music, grooving to his own guitar playing, enjoying the sound of his fellow musicians and singing like the words mattered to him." - Minneapolis Star Tribune

"... there's no question that the guy can play guitar. It's not for nothing that such revered ax men as B.B. King and Eric Clapton have given Mayer their imprimatur." - Philadelphia Inquirer

"Performing for more than 12,000 fans with a killer seven-piece band, Mayer has surely grown into his stage persona. He's equal parts quirky and smooth, earnest and confident. And he has a hearty body of work to draw from." - Dallas Morning News

Battle Studies was released in November 2009 on Columbia Records and debuted at #1. It is his fourth studio album from the seven-time Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter/guitar player/producer and incorporates the warmth, melodies and simplicity of 70's and 80's California rock and pop. Battle Studies is a confessional, relaxed and liberated album recorded in a private home in California where Mayer lived and worked over the course of six months before wrapping at the famed Capitol Studios in Los Angeles. The album was co-produced by John Mayer and Steve Jordan.

ABOUT JOHN MAYER - The consistency with which John Mayer combines word craft and melody has earned him rarefied status in popular culture as a respected songwriter and musician. Since his acclaimed debut in 2001 with Room For Squares, each release has earned John Mayer additional accolades. Through 2003's Heavier Things, his work with John Mayer Trio in 2005, CONTINUUM's 2006 release and now Battle Studies, John Mayer has established himself as a musician and collaborator who exceeds genre boundaries. The guitarist, vocalist and songwriter has earned seven Grammy Awards and sold nearly 12.5 million albums worldwide.

In May 2007, Time Magazine placed John Mayer on their Time 100 list of the most influential contemporary thinkers, leaders, artists and entertainers. For two consecutive years, Rolling Stone Magazine featured John Mayer on the cover of their annual "Guitar" issue - first with February 2007's "The New Guitar Gods" round-up and then in May 2008's "Living Guitar Legends" issue featuring Mayer with peers and icons alike.

Pairings with a range of artists are a defining trait of the musician whose collaborative streak is well-known. From rock to blues, hip-hop to jazz to country, Mayer has performed and/or recorded with Eric Clapton, B.B. King, Buddy Guy, T-Bone Burnett, Herbie Hancock, Dixie Chicks, Jay Z, Alicia Keys and Taylor Swift. In 2005, Mayer famously toured and recorded with power players Pino Palladino and Steve Jordan as John Mayer Trio, whose live album TRY! featured searing blues and rock. As on Continuum, John Mayer again took the helm as the co-producer of Battle Studies, his fourth studio album, released on November 17, 2009 and debuted at #1.

ABOUT TRAIN - Grammy Award-winning band Train is rolling back into the music scene with the recent release of their new Columbia Records' album, Save Me, San Francisco.  Their current hit single, "Hey, Soul Sister," has reached #1 on the overall iTunes chart, has been certified RIAA Double Platinum (selling more than 2 million copies), and soared up the Billboard charts, peaking at #6 on the HOT 100 chart and #1 on the Adult Top 40 Chart.  Save Me, San Francisco is the multi-platinum-selling band's fifth studio album and channels Train's early days, revisiting the roots rock sound that has made the band such a tour de force. USA Today raves that Save Me, San Francisco finds the band, "returning to its mid-'90s roots, when its hook-laden country-tinged tunes hit adult-contemporary audiences in their sweet spot."

ABOUT OWL CITY - Owl City has become an international phenomenon over the past year with the release of his now platinum album Ocean Eyes (Universal Republic July 2009), #1 single "Fireflies" (now triple platinum) and several sold out headlining tours of the US, Europe, UK and Asia.  Adam Young started his career as Owl City in June of 2007 when he began making music in the basement of his parent's house in Owatonna, Minnesota - a small town with roughly twenty-two thousand inhabitants.  Nearly three years later, thanks to more than 18 million profile views and more then 90 million plays on MySpace, this young man has become more than just an internet sensation.  "Fireflies" is now an international hit having made it to the #1 spot in 22 countries and Owl City's latest single "Vanilla Twilight" seems to be on the same trajectory - having already gone gold and climbing the charts world wide.  In addition, he's won the critics over with features out now in the New York Times, Rolling Stone, People, Entertainment Weekly, and USA Today, among many others.

ABOUT THE AVETT BROTHERS - There is no harmony like brotherly harmony. Something indelible in the weave of voices and play of sensibilities is stamped into the fraternal DNA and also stems from a lifetime of shared experiences. You can clearly hear fraternal magic at work in the songs of Scott and Seth Avett, better known as the Avett Brothers, as well. That magic is abundantly evident on I and Love and You, the Avett Brothers' big-label debut. Its 13 songs are delivered in a style that defies pigeonholing but might be described as a rootsy amalgam of folk, country, bluegrass, rock and pop - even a jab of punk-style dynamics here and there. Drawn by the naked honesty of their songs and the rousing intensity of their live shows, legendary producer and talent scout Rick Rubin signed the Avett Brothers - consisting of siblings Scott and Seth, plus bassist Bob Crawford - to his American Recordings label in 2008.

In harnessing the tools available to them in the service of the strongest set of songs they've written so far, the Avett Brothers have surpassed themselves on I and Love and You. There's really no great secret or magic formula for what they've achieved here. It comes down to honoring inspiration with an awful lot of hard work. "The brothers have an incredibly strong work ethic," affirms Rick Rubin, "and they continually worked at honing their craft. Hearing brothers who have sung their whole lives together - singing the truth - was a revelation each new day."

Multi-platinum, Oscar and Grammy-winning rap superstar Eminem will descend upon European soil to headline three major festivals this summer - Scotland's T In The Park, Switzerland's Openair Frauenfeld and Ireland's Oxegen - giving hundreds of thousands of fans a live dose of select tracks from his impressive catalogue.

eminem.jpg

First, the hip-hop icon storms the UK, headlining the mainstage at Scotland's T In The Park in early July. This marks Eminem's first European show in five years and his first-ever appearance at the festival. He then continues his European return with appearances at Gampel, Switzerland's Openair Frauenfeld and Dublin, Ireland's Oxegen 2010. Much like the blistering show he performed at New Orleans' Voodoo Fest in October 2009, Eminem will be performing with a live band, bringing a new and different level of intensity to his music. He will also be joined on by his group D12 all the dates.

"I'm excited to get back to Europe to rock some shows," said Eminem. "The crowds there are always big, crazy and dedicated...it's going to be great to feel that energy again."

At the 16th annual Openair Frauenfeld, Eminem is set to share the stage with another hip hop legend, Jay-Z. His headlining set is expected to draw 40,000 fans.

Marshall Mathers will also take the stage in Dublin, closing out Oxegen with a highly anticipated mainstage headline set. It's Eminem's first appearance in Ireland since his phenomenal sold out shows to over 200,000 fans in Marley Park in 2004. Eminem will follow an Oxegen tradition that's included unforgettable performances by previous headliners The Who, Muse and Kings of Leon.

2009 has seen the re-emergence of one of hip-hop's finest MC's. Ever since he returned to the game with Relapse, the biggest selling hip-hop album of last year, Eminem has made himself an unmistakable presence: from the chart topping success of the album, through live performances at the American Music Awards and the Grammy Awards, to ferocious verses on tracks with Lil Wayne, Kanye West and Drake. He also snatched up two more Grammy Awards at the 2010 ceremony, upping his total count to eleven.

Since dropping his classic debut The Slim Shady LP in 1999, Eminem has sold over 75 million albums worldwide, and over 30 million in the United States. He is the biggest selling artist of the last 10 years, a feat that resulted in him being recently named Artist of the Decade by Nielsen Soundscan.

2009 has been quite a year for Morrissey. He's toured relentlessly, performing to sold-out audiences around the world. His 9th studio album, Years Of Refusal, saw Morrissey tie his highest US chart debut on the Billboard 200, and he's overseen upgraded and remastered versions of his '90s works Southpaw Grammar and Maladjusted. Crowning what is undoubtedly his most productive year since his solo career began in 1988, SWORDS compiles 18 select songs released as b-sides of his 13 hit singles from his last four albums.

morrissey.jpg

As an artist who has always ensured his b-sides are of as outstanding quality as his singles and album tracks, SWORDS features some of Morrissey's finest material. 12 songs are collaborations with guitarist Alain Whyte, the rest co-written with guitarists Boz Boorer and Jesse Tobias, and former keyboardist Michael Farrell. In keeping with the three remarkable studio albums covered in this period -- 2004's You Are The Quarry, 2006's Ringleader Of The Tormentors and Years Of Refusal -- the music is powerful and adventurous. The richness and expression of Morrissey's voice has never been greater. With unmatchable style, wit and insight, truths beneath the surface are laid bare. There are moments of personal reflection: "Munich Air Disaster 1958," for example, is a heartrending lament for the Manchester United players who died in the infamous plane crash, and for those who were left behind. The live cover version of David Bowie's 1973 song "Drive-In Saturday" reveals a little more of Morrissey's own teenage self, with its lyrics of amorous confusion modified to rhapsodize over The New York Dolls rather than the Rolling Stones. Chrissie Hynde makes a rare appearance, singing backing vocals on "Shame Is The Name."

The album was compiled by Morrissey who is surely in the rudest of creative health. They're subtly assembled and sequenced -- the feeling of approaching extinction in the beautiful "The Never-Played Symphonies" followed by a promise of a reunion in the afterlife on "Sweetie-Pie." As Morrissey said of the Tour Of Refusal in March, "all of our answers will be in our songs."

Initial quantities of SWORDS will come with a bonus disc featuring eight superb live performances recorded in Warsaw in July this year. This will include songs from Morrissey's last two albums and 1994's Vauxhall And I, plus The Smiths' "You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby," first heard on the group's 1986 b-side collection The World Won't Listen. In October and November, Morrissey and his band will also tour the UK and Europe, with new American dates scheduled for later in the year.

SWORDS will be released in the UK on October 26th and November 3rd in the US.

                           SWORDS Tracklist:
                     Good Looking Man About Town

Tickets in select markets go on sale beginning September 25( )at LiveNation.com. Additional dates to be announced soon.

"We are really amazed by how well the tour has been received," said Def Leppard front man Joe Elliott. "Our fans have been absolutely fantastic. There's really no greater compliment than to be asked to keep on doing it so that's what we're going to do."

The tour's third leg will kick off in Reno, Nevada on Thursday, October 22nd. It highlights three decades of music from one of rock 'n' roll's greatest bands. With combined sales of 80 Million albums worldwide, 65 million from Leppard alone, fans will be treated to hits like "Photograph," "Rock Of Ages," "C'mon C'mon," "Pour Some Sugar On Me," "Foolin'," "Bringin' On The Heartbreak," "Nine Lives," as well as Cheap Trick classics "I Want You To Want Me" and "Surrender."

The tour has played to massive crowds throughout the summer. Celebrity guests, some of which include Taylor Swift, Larry Mullen, Jr. Of U2, and Perry Farrell of Jane's Addiction, along with a wide range of fans of all ages have come to see the mega hit-filled show. Def Leppard also launched the first interactive tour in history via Rockzimity, a Bluetooth and Wifi exclusive.

Def Leppard (Joe Elliott/vocals, Vivian Campbell/guitar, Phil Collen/guitar, Rick "Sav" Savage/bass and Rick Allen/drums) sits at the top of an iconic class of rock 'n' roll bands. In fact, they are one of a handful of select groups, including the likes of The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Pink Floyd and The Eagles, who have been awarded the R.I.A.A.'s prestigious Diamond Award more than once (Pyromania and Hysteria). The band's most recent album Songs From The Sparkle Lounge debuted last year at #5 on the Billboard Top 200. They've also sold out the 02 in Dublin AND headlined Britain's Download Festival 2009 to more then 80,000. The group's spectacular live shows, filled with powerful melodic rock anthems, have become synonymous with their name and are an institution in the touring industry as they continue to sell out arenas worldwide.

With more than 5,000 performances, 20 million records sold, 29 movie soundtracks and 40 gold and platinum-recording awards, Cheap Trick may be one of the most covered bands of all time. Cheap Trick's acclaimed new album, The Latest, continues their reign as power-pop progenitors as they celebrate their 35th anniversary together. Since forming in the city of Rockford, IL in 1974, they have sold over 20 million albums and had numerous hits including "Surrender," "I Want You to Want Me" and "Dream Police." Pop superstar Kelly Clarkson announced today her much anticipated ALL I EVER WANTED Tour for the fall of 2009. Joining Clarkson are red-hot Australian sister duo The Veronicas and rising band Parachute.

kelly_clarkson_cover.jpg

The high-energy tour kicks off in Uncasville, CT on October 2nd and concludes in Hollywood, Florida on December 13(th), covering 32 total U.S. and Canadian markets. Steve Moore of MEG/AEG Live Nashville will promote the bulk of the tour.

"We are thrilled to work with Kelly Clarkson again. She is truly one of the best vocalists in the business. And The Veronicas and Parachute round out a superstar lineup," Moore said.

Clarkson has sold more than 20 million albums since her 2002 debut. Her current All I Ever Wanted release shattered Billboard records, when "My Life Would Suck Without You" jumped from #97 to #1 in its first week of release. Clarkson premiered her current single "Already Gone" on The Late Show with David Letterman last week.

Concert attendees can expect to hear these latest hits including "I Do Not Hook Up" from the tour's namesake album, along with her signature pop anthems.

The Veronicas, who delivered five top 10 singles in Australia on their debut album, have now earned platinum record success with the electro-rock sizzler "Untouched." Parachute's current single "She Is Love" continues to climb both Hot AC and Top 40 charts.

Tickets for the first shows go on sale August 15(th), with the remaining on-sales rolling out in the coming weeks. Fans can find out more, including ticket outlets, by visiting www.kellyclarkson.com.

Daughtry will embark upon a short club tour this August, starting just weeks after the release of LEAVE THIS TOWN (19 Recordings/RCA Music Group), the follow-up to the band's Grammy-nominated and quintuple-platinum debut.

Daughtry_albumcov.jpg

Singer Chris Daughtry, bassist Josh Paul, drummer Joey Barnes, and guitarists Brian Craddock and Josh Steely will use the intimate shows to perform many of the songs from the new album on stage for the first time. The 13-date tour will kick off August 2 in Orlando, FL and end August 22 in Las Vegas, NV. Tickets go on sale July 11. Daughtry will offer limited VIP packages as a pre-sale July 8th - 10th. Additionally, the band will also give a free ticket to the first 50 fans in each market who pre-order LEAVE THIS TOWN from www.DaughtryOfficial.com.

"This club tour is a thank you to our loyal fans. Its a great way for them to see us up close and, more importantly, at a cheap price," says singer Chris Daughtry.

More than a month before its official release, LEAVE THIS TOWN is already generating considerable buzz for its musical range.

Rolling Stone: "The surprisingly diverse results include everything from the clubby 'Supernatural' to the fiddle-driven Vince Gill duet 'Tennessee Line.'" ... "'Call Your Name' [is] an anthem reminiscent of 'November Rain,' complete with a stirring key change, falsetto vocal runs and an explosive Slash-style guitar climax."

Billboard: "And while Daughtry's voice and rock riffs still play center stage to most of the album's tracks, several songs take some creative chances. Daughtry wrote 'You Don't Belong' on his own; it's a hard-driving song that wouldn't sound out of place on an Alice in Chains album."

Daughtry will begin an extensive North American tour this fall.

Fresh off their triumphant appearances on Saturday Night Live and at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival, as well as performances on The Late Show With David Letterman and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, New York City's Yeah Yeah Yeahs will hit the road for a spring tour. The tour, which begins May 23rd at the Sasquatch Festival in Washington state, will make stops at the Bonnaroo Music Festival on June 12th and the All Points West Music & Arts Festival on July 31st.

The trio are touring in support of their latest album, It's Blitz!, which was released by DGC/Interscope on March 31st. Already No. 1 at indie retail stores around the country, It's Blitz! has earned four stars from Rolling Stone, five out of five from Britain's Q, and been called "the alternative pop album of the decade" by Spin. The first single -- the huge, dancefloor anthem "Zero" -- has stormed the Top 40 at Alternative Radio with no signs of slowing down.

Now it's time to catch Yeah Yeah Yeahs live where they promise to "shake it like a ladder to the sun". Karen O, Nick Zinner, and Brian Chase mean it bad as they strut both rock-disco explosions and ballsy ballads that cut both sides of your emotional heart. Don't miss them on the road this spring!
